Dorothy L. Nelson, 87, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Sunday August 24, 2008, at 2:20 P.M. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born on May 18, 1921 in Gibson County to Vernon J. and Lula (Kelly) Kell.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Gerald “ Corky” Nelson and husband, Robert Nelson.

Surviving is a daughter, Nina Litherland of Oakland City, IN; a granddaughter, Adrienne M. Hamm of Oakland City, IN; and a sister, Gyneth Hartwell of Tennyson, IN.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday August 29, 2008 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Brandon officiating.  Burial will be in Providence Cemetery near Francisco, IN.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the chapel and from 8:00 AM on Friday.
