Henry C. Murrell, 80, of Oakland City, IN died Thursday June 24, 2004 at 2:12 A.M. at Memorial Hospital & Healthcare in Jasper, IN.

He was born on Nov. 21, 1923 at Crab Orchard, KY to Felix & Martha (Neal) Murrell.

He was a painter for several years.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Edna Sowder, Eloise Wardlow; a son Larry Murrell in 1969.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years the former Geneva Webb: Children, Joyce Cox of Newburgh,IN, Jeanie Hensley of Oakland City, IN, Gary Murrell of Ventura CA, Barry Neal Murrell of Chrisney, IN, Dane Murrell of Evansville,IN, and Jim Murrell of Huntingburg, IN; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Loie Foister of Hamilton,Ohio, Hester Conklin of Coco Beach FL, Della Meeks of N. Atteborough, Mass., Nina Doyle of Ft.Branch, IN, Hilda Kidd of Shelbyville, KY; brothers, Felix Murrell of Sebastian FL, Homer Murrell of Carson City Nevada.

Funeral Services will be on Sunday June 27, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Dr. Bob Doane officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Sunday at the chapel.
