David W. Meier, 67, of Somerville, IN passed away on Friday October 28, 3005 at 12:22 A.M. at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.

He was born on Sept 24, 1938 in Gibson County to Victor and Martha Dean (McGregor) Meier.

He worked in the accounting field and was member of Oakland City and Princeton, IN Eagles Lodge and S.A.L. at Oakland City American Legion Post 256.

Surviving is a daughter: Allyson Faye Meier of Frisco,Texas; a son, Mark David Meier of Murphysboro, IL; two grandsons; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mary and husband Martin Sokeland of Richwoods, MO and Leota Cassiday of Avondale, Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday Nov. 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Somerville Cemetery. Rev.Joel Simpson officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Wednesday at the chapel
