Beulah Inell Lamb,
92, formerly of Oakland
City, IN, passed away on Monday October 10, 2005 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL.
She was born on November 21, 1912 in Oakland City, IN to Elmer and Mima (Barrett)
Lapsley.
She was raised in Oakland City and married
her high school sweetheart John ”Jack” Lamb and together they operated Lamb and
Son Funeral Home for four decades; she was preceded in death by Jack in 1972.
They dedicated their lives to serving the
community; they also attended the Good Shepherd Methodist Church. She graduated from Oakland City schools and attended Lockyear Business College in Evansville. She later worked
for Public Service Company in Oakland City, IN. She was a
member of Tri-Kappa, Oakland City Chapter of Eastern Star, Oakland City Garden
Club, and was active in several women’s groups in the Church. She spent the
last few years of her life living with son David and Meg in Barrington, IL and most recently was in care at Harbor House Memory
Care Facility in Wheeling, IL.
Surviving are children: David Lamb of Barrington, IL, John Lamb of
Celina, Ohio; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Mildred
Thompson of Boscobel, Wisconsin; brother Nolan Lapsley
of San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services will be Sunday October
16, 2005 at 5:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Montgomery Cemetery, Dr. Douglas Low will officiate.
Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Chapel
