Raymond L. Kell, 75, of Petersburg, IN entered rest on Thursday September 11, 2008 at 12:20 P.M. at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, IN.

He was born on November 19, 1932 in Oakland City, IN to Raymond and Esther (Houchin) Kell.

He was a member of the First General Baptist Church, and Oakland City American Legion Post # 256.  He was an Iron Worker, and was also employed for 22 years at Old Ben Coal and U of E as locksmith and Security guard for Clark Security.  He served in the US Navy during Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dora Anthony; and brothers, Edwin and James Kell.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years Bobbie (Hadlock) Kell; daughter, Beth A. (Frank A.) Coleman of Petersburg, IN; sons, Lanny J. (Sheila) Kell of Oakland City, IN and Dane Lee (Jana) Kell of Granite City, IL; grandchildren, Kinsey L Kell, Casey J. Kell, Thomas A. (Leigha) Kell, Jamie Lee Kell, Aaron J. Kell, Joni L.Harris, Melissa Sue (Camaron) Shoultz and Frank Edward Coleman; great grandchildren, Peyton, Kennedy Shoultz, Luke Livermore; brothers, John Kell of Boonville, IN, Fred (Ruth) Kell, Louis Kell and Sam (Donna) Kell of Oakland City, IN; sisters, Amy Tschappler of Phoenix, AZ, Aline (Miguel) Taitana of San Antonio, Texas and Lena (Glen) Boswell of Harrison, Arkansas

Funeral services will be Monday September 15, 2008 at 10:30 A.M., C.D.T. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN, with burial in Providence Cemetery near Francisco, IN.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-7:00 P.M.
