Jesse E. Julian, 87, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 8:35 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.

He was born on September 25, 1920 in Oakland City to Elmer and Birdie (Blake) Julian.

He was a retired mail carrier at the Oakland City Post Office for several years.

He was a World War II veteran and member of Oakland City American Legion Post # 256.  He was a 50 year member of the following orders: Oakland City F.&A.M. Lodge # 467, where he was past master, Evansville York Rite, Indianapolis Council# 2, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine, Royal Arch, Swords of Bunker Hill, Golden Fleece Chapter # 176.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene Ireland; brothers, George, Gerald, William, Earl, Cletus, and Dalton.

Surviving are sister-in-laws, Marie Julian of Oakland City, IN and Alice Julian of San Diego, California; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery, Dr. Douglas Low will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:00A.M until services on Saturday at the chapel. Oakland City Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service 7:00 P.M. Friday at the chapel. Oakland City American Legion Post #256 will conduct military honors.
