George Henry Hutchinson, 69, of Somerville, IN entered rest on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 11:05 A.M. at his home.

He was born on July 6, 1938 in New Harmony, IN to Clarence Henry Hutchinson and Myrtle (Hungate, Hutchinson) Futrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Clarence and Lula Hutchinson who raised him in Somerville.

He worked at Mid States Rubber and retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 30 years of service. He graduated from Mackey High School in 1958 and was a member of Somerville Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are: sons, Bill (Hallie) and Rick (Vickie) Hutchinson both of Somerville, IN, Barry (Cathy) Hutchinson of Vincennes, IN; grandchildren, Cory (Elizabeth) Hutchinson of Somerville, IN, Jeffery (Brittany) Hutchinson of Oakland City, IN, Brick Hutchinson of Somerville, IN, Brandon Hutchinson of Evansville, IN, Jamie Hutchinson of Somerville, IN and Emily Willis of Petersburg, IN; great grandchildren, Kegan and Keeli Hutchinson of Oakland City, IN, Marcus and Alexandra Hutchinson of Somerville, IN; brothers, Terry (Jean Ann) Hutchinson New Harmony, IN, Steven (Trish) Hutchinson of Houston, Texas, Richard Hutchinson of New York, Darrell Futrell of Equcador and Jay (Mariann) Futrell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several extended family members Freddie Doerner, Ford Carr, and Donnie Meier of Somerville, IN.

Funeral services will be Friday May 16, 2008 2:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN, with burial in Providence cemetery near Francisco, IN, Rev. Robert Winkel will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M until services on Friday at the Chapel.
