Ray Horn, 81, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

Born
Aug. 21, 1927 in Harrisburg, Ill., he was the son of William Edgar and Marie Horn.

Ray and his wife Laurana managed various truck stops in the early years of their marriage.  Later, they managed the
Gay Dan Restaurant in Princeton.  Throughout his life, Ray also worked for the Princeton Street Dept., Wilkinson-Bates Lumber and Experience Works.  Ray was also a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church and Prince Lodge 231.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his wife, family and dog, Buddy.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Laurana; daughter, Debbie Finke (Steve) of Greenwood; son, Scott Horn (Karen) of Princeton; four granddaughters, Amy (Randy) Chilton, Angie Ellis, Erin (Ron) Miller, Laura (Derick) Wiggins; and six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Josh, Zach, Molly, Ethan and Ronnie.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ingle Horn; and sister, Lillian Jones.

Memorial services will be at
11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Princeton.

Visitation will be from
9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
