Lorean C. Burnes Hopkins, 95, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Thursday July 19, 2007, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN.

She was born on December 18, 1911 in Gibson County, IN to John and Lilly (Cahala) Burnes.

She was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church since 1931, also the Women’s Missionary Society and Young at Heart Club.

Surviving family members are: daughters, Patsy Creasy and Lucille Davis both of Oakland City, IN, Virginia Meier of North Highlands, California; brother, Bertis O. Burnes of Bossier City, LA; sister, Etta Mae Stewart of Francisco, IN; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday July 23, 2007 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Forsythe Cemetery, Rev. Tony Phillips will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M Sunday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Monday at the chapel.
