Annie A. Heacock, 90, formerly of Oakland City now of Newburgh, IN, entered rest on Sunday April 1, 2007 6:15 P.M at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.

She was born on June 10, 1916 in Bristol, Virginia to William and Nannie (Goodson) Smeltzer.

She was preceded in death by parents, brothers Robert and Eugene and sisters, Willie and Ruby. She spent most of her life in Oakland City, IN.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years Charles Eugene Heacock; daughter Phyliss Rauh of Burleson, Texas; son David Ogborn of Dallas Texas; grandchildren, Miki Hinman, Debbie Baker,Cindy Thomas,Charles Ogborn; and four great grandchildren.  And, very special friends Robert Ferguson and Barbara Wells.

The family wants to thank the staff of Woodlands Convalescent in Newburgh and St. Mary’s Hospital for taking such loving care of Annie.

Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN is in charge of arrangements.  (No services.  She was buried in Montgomery Cemetery.)
