Emanuel O. “Blackie” Griesemer, 85, of Francisco, IN entered eternal rest on Monday August 14, 2006 at 5:00 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.

He was born on November 23, 1920 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Oscar and Grace (Steele) Griesemer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 67 years, Alma, on April 5, 2006.

He was a member of the Francisco General Baptist Church. He had worked at lifetime in the oil fields and was a W.W. II veteran.

Surviving are children Kenneth and Judy Griesemer , Larry and Jenny Griesemer all of Evansville, IN, Barbara and Jim Dunn of Francisco, IN and Susan Sullivan of Petersburg, IN; (13) grandchildren (23) great grandchildren and (3) great-great grandchildren; sisters Billie Aldridge of Hannibal, Missouri, Maxine LaRue of St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara Ransom of Newman, Missouri; and brother Jesse Griesemer of Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday August 17, 2006 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, with burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Francisco, IN.

Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until services on Thursday at the Chapel.
