Wilma L. Emerson, 83, of Francisco, IN passed on Tuesday May 10, 2005 4:55 A.M. at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN.

She was born Dec. 22, 1921 in Alread, Ark. to Alvin and Mae (Lott) Bixler.

She was a homemaker and loved gardening, flowers, cooking also attended Francisco General Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband of 63 years Leon Emerson; one son Larry Emerson of Francisco, IN; two daughters Jean Gillihan of Princeton, IN and Darlene Jones of Francisco, IN; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers J. D. Bixler of Springdale, Ark.; Cliff Bixler of Yakima Washington and Roscoe Bixler of Roland, Ark.; sisters Jocie Reynolds of Springdale, Ark., Velma Riddle of Yakima, Washington and Virginia Smith of Biloxi, Miss.

Funeral Services will be Friday May 13, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN, Dr. John Hornbrook officiating. Burial will follow at the Francisco I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Francisco, IN.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Friday at the chapel.
