Ellen N. Dunning, 91, of Oakland City, Ind. passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2005 at 8:45 P.M. at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport, Ind.

She was born on April 26, 1913 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Karl & Hedvig (Friburg) Ecklund.

She was a retied School Teacher, teaching 6 years in country school in Minnesota and 13 years at Francisco, Elementary School. She was member of Friendship General Baptist Church, P.B.W. and National Education Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Dale in 1982 and a daughter Kim Cox in 2001.

Surviving are a daughter Karla Dunning of Rockport, IN; one son, Kenneth Dunning of Mt. Vernon, Washington; one stepson, Greg Dunning of Nine Miles Falls, Washington; one step daughter, Roberta Williams of Driggs Idaho; two brothers, Art Ecklund of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Carl Ecklund of Sauk Centre Minnesota; (7) grandchildren (8) step grandchildren (2) great grandchildren (18) step great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Friday January 21, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Friendship General Baptist Church, burial in Fairview Cemetery near Princeton, Ind., Dr. Bob Doane Officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, and from 12:00 Noon until services on Friday at the church.
