Alyna “Ellen” Cox 67 of Oakland City, IN entered
rest on Tuesday March 25, 2008 2:30 P.M. at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.
She was born on October 15, 1940
in Boucoiran, France
to Wladyslaw and Anna (Polonwicz)
Kuszowski. She
became a United States Citizen after her marriage to Bill Cox in Bouligny, France
in 1958. She was an active member of
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church since 1975, TOPS member since 1985 and Avon
representative for over twenty years, attended the Catholic Cursillo
in 1997 and received Brute Award for 2003 from the Evansville Diocese. She also served as election clerk for many
years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Perriot
Kuszowski of Cannes, France.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years William Cox; a son William (Miekka)
Cox Jr. of Haubstadt, IN;
and daughters Sandra (Steve) Uppencamp and Brenda
(Willie) Denton of Oakland City, IN. Grandchildren
Nicole Sharp, Winslow, IN, Summer Uppencamp, Oakland
City, IN, Crystal Denton, West Lafayette, IN, Amanda Denton, Oakland City, IN, Jake,
Abby, Natalie and Mariel Cox, Haubstadt, IN.
Great grandchildren, Alyna
Sharp, Winslow, IN and Chase Denton, Oakland
City, IN.
Sister Jeanine Kuszowski; brothers, Wladislas,
Henri, and Antoine Kuszowski all of France; and several
nieces and nephews and brothers and sister-in-laws.
Funeral Mass will be a Saturday
March 29, 2008 10:00 A.M.
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland
City with burial in St.
Joseph Cemetery in
Princeton, IN. Fr. Ronald Zgunda
will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00P.M.Friday
and Saturday from 8:00-9:15A.M.at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel.
Wake service will be Friday at 7:30 PM.
