Paul Edward Brogan 78 of Oakland City, IN entered eternal rest on Wednesday June 7, 2006 at 10:55 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.

He was born on April 30, 1918 in Somerville, grew up in Francisco, and later moved to Oakland City, IN.

He served his country in the Army Air Corp in the school of aviation medicine.  He work as a surveyor with Lowell Morrison Engineering, the Soil Conservation Service, Rieth Riley Construction and Wasson Construction Company with the Army Corp of Engineers on the Barkley Dam project in Kentucky.  He also worked for many years in coal mining industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents Owen and Emma Brogan and two brothers, Robert and James.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Margaret Brogan of Oakland City, IN.

Three Children and spouses, Bob and Kathy Brogan of Petersburg, IN, Ed and EllaMay Whitten of Princeton, IN, Charley and Terrie Brogan of Francisco, IN.

Grandchildren: Amy Brogan, Shane and Cindy Brogan, David and Carrie Brogan, Andrew Whitten, Matthew and Anita Whitten and John Whitten.

Step-Grandchildren: Beth Carlisle, Tifani Burns, Emily and Greg Griswold, and Jed and Jamie Burns. Great Grandchildren: Dakota Brogan, Kayla Murphy and Mackenzie Brogan.

Step- Great-Grandchildren: Jacob Carlisle, Kameron Griswold, Hayden and Patience Burns.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 17, 2006 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a special time of remembrance at 6:30 P.M.
