Claude E. “Sonny” Blake 68 of Oakland City, IN. entered rest on Thursday September 25, 2008 at 5:50 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

He was born on December 7, 1939 in Petersburg, IN to Edward Blake and Dorothy (Wright) Wilder.

He was member of Trinity United Methodist Church and loved his Sunday School Class. He had worked at Plastic Plant in Oakland City many years ago.

He was preceded in death by father Edward Blake, Step-Father Bennie Wilder and brother David Blake.

Surviving family members include his mother Dorothy (Wright) Wilder of Oakland City, IN. Sisters: Mary Lou (John) McGee of Oakland City, IN, Betty McQueary of Downers Grove, IL and Shirley (Jim) Fitzgerald of Darien, IL. A step-sister: Phyllis( Jerry) Ice of Rockport, IN and sister-in-law: Doris Blake of Oakland City, IN.

Funeral services will be Tuesday September 30, 2008 10:00A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Mark Sanders will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 AM, until services on Tuesday at the chapel.
