Robert L Bigham 80, of Oakland City, IN. passed away on Monday March 14, 2005 6:30 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1924 in Oakland City, IN. to James & Catherine (Orth) Bigham

Was member of Oakland City Lions Club, Oakland City American Legion Post # 256, Oakland City Eagles Lodge, F.O.P., attended Oak Grove General Baptist Church.

Bob was a Police Officer in Oakland City since 1959 serving as Chief of Police for 26 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by 1 daughter Connie Wade in 2004 and his wife Mary E. Bigham in March 27, 1983.

Survivors: 3 daughters: Sherry Beasley of Francisco, IN., April Harper of Johnson, IN., Connie J. Bigham of Ft. Branch, IN. Sons: Robert K. Bigham of Vincennes, IN., David Bigham of Indianapolis, IN. and Mike Bigham of Bangkok, Thailand . (12) Grandchildren (3) Great Grandchildren

Funeral services will be Friday March 18, 2005 11:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Tony Phillips and Rev. Alec Hensley officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Friday at the chapel.

American Legion Post # 256 will conduct Military Graveside Services.
