Steward Jack Atkins 75 of Petersburg, IN entered rest on Monday June 23, 2008 at 11:50 P.M. at his home.

He was born on August 31, 1932 in Pike County, IN to Steward and Nettie (Jullian) Atkins.

He was member of Oakland City F. & A. M. Lodge # 467 and had worked several years at Hoeflings in Washington, IN and Sternberg Chrysler in Jasper, IN.

He is survived by his wife Fayetta (Chesser) Atkins. Sons: Steward Wayne ( Debra) Atkins of Petersburg, IN, Justin Eugene (Elaine Marie) Atkins of Petersburg, IN and Virgil Kelly (Kimberly Renae) Atkins of Petersburg, IN. And a brother: Carl Atkins of Oakland City, IN.

Grandchildren: Steward Travis Wayne (Ashley Dawn) Atkins, Jackson Tanner Atkins, Valerie Renae Mehringer, Rachel Kelly (Mathew Lee) Wallace, Kelsey Michelle Atkins. Great-Grandchildren: Kale Owen Speedy, Taylor Connor Atkins, Avery Travis Atkins.

Private graveside services will be conducted at Miller Cemetery near Oatsville, IN.

Rev. Mike Atkins will officiate, visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M E.S.T. Wednesday June 25, 2008 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN.
