Luther Douglas “Doug” Ash 70 of Oakland City, IN entered rest at 11:39 A.M., on Sunday February 12, 2006 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN.

He was born on October 12, 1935 in Glezen, IN to John Henry and Pansy May (Norrick) Ash.

He was retired from Industrial Contractors and Petersburg Power Plant. He was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Maxine Hunt and brother David Ash.

Surviving is his wife of 19 years Gail Ash and children: Jerry Ash, Barry Ash, Jeff Kolley and Roberta Zollman all Selvin, IN, Kerry Ash of Heilman, IN, Anthony Ash of Evansville,IN and Sandy Gendren of Oakland City, IN. Also, (23) Grandchildren (5) Great-Grandchildren. A sister: May Green of Oakland City, IN; step-brother: John Jarvis of Edinburgh, IN and step-sisters: Jessie Adamson of Newburgh, IN, Elsie Cowan and Opal Jarvis of Edinburgh, IN.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday Feb. 15, 2006 10:00 A.M at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Williams Cemetery near Oakland City, IN, Rev. Tony Phillips officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Wednesday at the chapel.
