Bessie A. Newkirk, 98, died at 6 a.m. Sunday. Feb. 13, 1994, at Holiday Manor Nursing Home in Princeton, of natural causes/

She was born September 5, 1895 in Orange County, Ind. and resided in Princeton for the past 18 years, moving from Milford, Ill., where she had lived for several years. She was a house keeper.

Preceding in death were a brother, Homer Kendle; two sisters, Dessie Selfe and Fay Goforth.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Jack Selfe of Princeton.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at IOOF Cemetery, Hazleton, with the Rev. Jack Eberhardt officiating.

Friends may call at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 N. Main St., Princeton from noon until 1:45 p.m. today.
