Princeton Daily Clarion, December 1990: Leon M. Hedden, Sr. 64, of Princeton, died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday in
the Veterans Hospital at Marion, IL.
A carpenter, he was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Princeton
where he resided most of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, a
member of American Legion Post 25, a member of VFW Post 1147 where he served as
junior vice commander, and a member of the Eagles #361.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Elgan Hedden, and his parents, Joseph
E. and Dora Wiard Hedden.
He is survived by two sons, Leo Mack Hedden, Jr. of
Terre Haute and Rusty Leo Hedden of Princeton; one
daughter, Leonda Dyson of Princeton; one brother,
James R. Hedden of Houston, TX; two sisters, Mabel
Adams of Princeton and Dorothy Gregory of Union; five grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
