Alexander Donaldson

 

HAUBSTADT – Alexander Melton Donaldson, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999 at 6:07 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.

            Mr. Donaldson was born July 29, 1916 in Sullivan to William and Rose Donaldson.

            Mr. Donaldson was a painter.

He was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church, the Eagles Lodge #361, American Legion 25, and V.F.W. Post #2714.

He was a World War II veteran.

Mr. Donaldson was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine in 1998 and a son, Melton William ‘Sonny’ Donaldson in 1945...

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Stock of Evansville; one granddaughter, Jennifer Stock of Evansville; one great-grandchild, Jeremy Hazelip of Evansville; one sister, Magdalene Williamson of Haubstadt; a nephew, Roy Donaldson, and a niece, Jenny Waggoner.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Tarrell Thompson officiating.

Burial take place at the Memorial Park in Vincennes.

Military Services will be held at the cemetery and conducted by Post #2714.
