Mrs.
Magnolia A. Young, 85, died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 1985, at Deaconess
Hospital in Evansville.
She was born March 16, 1900 at
Tutwilder, Miss., and resided in Princeton for 55 years, moving here from
Evansville. Mrs. Young was a member of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ.
Surviving are four sons, Moses Young
of Springfield, Ohio, Isaiah, Paul T. and James R. Young, all of Princeton and
four daughters, Mrs. Anna Mae Alvis, Mrs. Lunolia Simmons and Miss Dorothy
Young, all of Princeton, and Mrs. Eliza Smith of Katy, Texas; 44 grandchildren,
75 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Doc Erwin of
Memphis, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday at the Holy Temple Church of God, 202 E. Pinkney, Princeton, with the
Rev. Elder William Simmons officiating.
Burial will be in Sand Hill
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Colvin
Funeral Home, 425 N. Main St., Princeton, from 4 until 9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made
to the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ.
The body
will be taken to the church Saturday to lie in state from 10 a.m. until the
service hour.
