Goldie M. Overton, 79, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1989, at her home, near Owensville.

She was born in Dubois County, April 9, 1910. Mrs. Overton was employed for 33 years as secretary at Garrett Brothers Elevator in Owensville, where she retired in 1975.

She was a member of Maumee General Baptist Church.

Preceding in death were a son, Paul in 1959, a sister, Viola Garrett in 1979 and two brothers, Early Dawn Nulton in 1977 and Leo Nulton in 1986.

Surviving are her husband, Darrell B. Overton of Owensville; a son, James Head of Owensville; a sister, Lorraine Kern of Olympia, Wash., and two brothers, Homer Nulton of Patoka, and Lester Nulton of Poseyville; and two grandsons, Brian and Darrell Head of Owensville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holder’s Funeral Home, 319 S. Main St., Owensville, with Rev. Ken Nelson officiating.

Burial will be in Owensville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
