Gene
Lockett, 80, of Princeton, died at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 1984 at Gibson
General Hospital in Princeton.
He was born
April 6, 1904 in Princeton. Lockett was
a retired farmer and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding in
his death were his parents, Louis Lockett and Arra Chavis.
Surviving
are four brothers, Virgil, Lester, Fletcher and Lafayette Lockett, all of
Chicago, Ill.; an aunt, Mrs Martha Smith of
Princeton; an uncle, Squire Simmons of Patoka; a cousin, Marion Manuel of
Princeton; and several nieces, nephews and cousin.
Funeral
services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kendall Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St.,
Princeton, with the Rev. Floyd Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Patoka.
Friends may
call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
