Robert D. Kendall, 65, died at 3:42 a.m. Thursday, Aug.3, 1989 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

 

Kendall was born June 19, 1924 in Gibson County and resided in Princeton. 

 

He was owner of Kendall Funeral Home and also operated an ambulance service for several years. He served all religious faiths.  He was a member of National Funeral Director Association for 40 years.

 

He was a member of Prince Lodge 231, Princeton, Hadi Shrine, Evansville, York Rite Bodies of Gibson County and he was a 32nd Degree Mason. He also was a member of the Kiwanis, Elks and American Legion Post 25, all of Princeton.

 

He was a disabled veteran of World War II.

 

Preceding in death were his parents, Ralph Kendall and Ruth (Eads) Kendall.

 

Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane (Shoultz) Kendall; a son, Keith Robert Kendall of Zionsville, Ind.; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Kendall of Riley, N.H., and a grandson, Chase Andrew Kendall of Zionsville; a brother, James Kendall of Evansville; a nephew, Craig Kendall of Evansville, and a niece, Cyndy Kendall of Greenville, S.C.; and several aunts and uncles.

 

Semi-private services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kendall Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St., Princeton, with the Rev. Jack Eberhardt officiating.

 

Burial will be in Warnock Cemetery, Princeton.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and from 7 until 9 a.m. Sunday.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the church of your choice in honor of Mr. Kendall.
