Frank John Garrett, 69, died 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 1983, at his home in Owensville.

 

He was born March 16, 1914.

 

Garrett served two years in Viet Nam, working for the Defense Department on helicopter maintenance.  He retired in 1978, from the YMCA maintenance at Harvey, Ill., and moved to Owensville in 1978.

 

Preceding him in death were his wife, Eldora, Jan. 29, 1956; and a son, Tim, Jan. 24, 1956.

 

Surviving are two sons, Paul Wayne Garrett of Owensville, and Richard Keith Garrett of Poseyville; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Dike of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Mae Siebert of Tahoe Valley, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

 

NOTE: Gibson County Health Department Records, Book 10, Page 104 gives his parents names as James Frank Garrett and Stella Mae Riddle. Marital Status as Widowed.  He died at his home located in Williams Apts. #187 Owensville, IN. Cause of death as Myocardial Infarction, Instant. Holder Funeral Home handled the arrangements.  Burial in Maumee Cemetery, Owensville, IN
