GILBERT A BELL

 

1975  (13 Oct 1915 – 4 May 1975)

Gilbert A. Bell of Route 1, Haubstadt, died at the age of 59 on Sunday afternoon at his residence.

 

Bell was employed as a bricklayer for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp., for 18 years.  A veteran of World War II, he belonged to VFW Post 1114 and the Teamsters Union Local 215.

 

Survivors include his wife, Norma; one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Johnson of Wadesville; two sons, Ricky A of Haubstadt and Dale, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Bell, Mrs. Louise Granderson and Mrs. Thelma Keown, all of Evansville and Mrs. Hazel Pearce of Rockport, one brother, Walter of Evansville; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

 

Bishop William Stewart will conduct the 11 a.m. service on Wednesday at Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Haubstadt.

 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
