Mrs. Flo
Arthur Caniff, 67, of Indianapolis, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (15 Jul 1970) at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born in Hazleton, July 10, 1903 and resided there until moving to Indianapolis in 1957.
She was a member of Hazleton Methodist Church and Hazleton Eastern Star.
Mrs. Caniff
was a well-known music teacher in Gibson county. She
began her teaching career in Knox county in 1922 where
she taught one year. She taught in Gibson county schools for 34 years.
Mrs. Caniff
was choral director at Princeton high school for 14 years, resigning in 1957 to teach
in Indianapolis. She taught at Baldwin Heights and schools in Wabash,
White River and Johnson townships, in Gibson county.
Mrs. Caniff
was married to H.R. Caniff who died in 1963.
Surviving are one daughter,
Mrs. Robert Howden, Zionsville; one son, Harold R. Caniff, Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. John Hudelson, Hazleton; one brother, James A. Arthur, Seattle, Wash., and four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at
2 p.m. Saturday at Hazleton United Methodist Church, Rev. Ernest Hayden and Rev. Jack Fehrman
officiating.
Burial will be in Hazleton IOOF Cemetery.

& Son Mortuary after 3 p.m.
Friday. Eastern Star services will be held at the mortuary at 7 p.m.
