Former
Shoe Repairman Dies
George Lindsay, 83, Hazleton, died at 11:15
a.m.
Thursday, at Gibson General Hospital.
He was born in Knoxville, Ky., July
23, 1884.
He moved to Hazleton from Monroe City and has resided there
for the past 25 years.
Mr. Lindsay was a retired shoe repairman having
operated his own business in Hazleton.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Charles Dyehouse, Hazleton; three sons, Rufus, Martinsville; Eldon, Hazleton, and Olen of Hammond; 13 grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at Colvin Mortuary.

Services
for George Lindsay, 83, who died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Gibson General Hospital, will be conducted at 2
p.m.
Sunday at Colvin & Son Chapel. Rev. Ernest Hayden will officiate and burial
will be in Wilson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe City.

may call at Colvin & Son Mortuary after 3 p.m. Saturday.
