Mrs. Edna Ashby

Mrs. Edna Ashby, 65, Route 2 Princeton, died Friday at 2:45 p.m. at the Gibson General Hospital after a week’s illness.

Mrs. Ashby was born April 19, 1902, in Otwell, Ind.

She had resided in Gibson County the past 40 years. She was a member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Ashby is survived by her husband, Charles F., and mother Luna Hayes of Otwell; three sons, Sheldon E. Ashby, Boston, Mass., Robert L. Ashby, Francisco; Paul Ashby, Princeton; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Lou McAtee, Princeton; three sisters, Mrs. Monta Sullivan, Oakland City, Mrs. Nora Albin, Oakland City, and; Mrs. Juanita Pride, Otwell; two brothers Phinea Hays, Winslow; Marion Hayes, Otwell, and six grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Fairview Church. Rev. Harry Spickler officiated.

Burial was in Otwell Cemetery.
