Ella Saulmon Alcorn, 89, died Thursday (4 Jul 1957) morning after a lingering illness of
several years. She was born in the Old Union community, where she lived
her entire life. She held membership with the Old Union Christian Church
for 72 years, being the oldest church member at her death. On October 27,
1894, she was married to David C. Alcorn, prominent farmer of the community,
who died in 1955. They had two children. Funeral services were held
