Descendant, Dies

Nora Robb Spore, 79, died about

10:10 p. m. Monday at her home

here following an illness of some

nine months.                   

Mrs. Spore was a descendant of

one of the old pioneer families of

Gibson county. She was born July

25, 1871, at the old Robb home-

stead northeast of Patoka and she

had lived in Gibson county her

entire lifetime. She was a mem-

ber of the First Methodist church

here. She was well known to many

for her concern and care for the

sick.

Survivors include the husband,

W. Oscar Spore; two daughters,

Mrs. Ralph Kell of Princeton and

Mrs. Harry Stricklin, a teacher in

the Princeton city schools; a son,

Darwin, of Wichita, Kansas; a

grandson, Robb Kell, pastor of the

New Harmony Methodist church,

and several nieces, nephews and

cousins.

Funeral services will be held

Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Wright

& Kendall funeral chapel with

Rev. M. B. McClure and Rev. L. A.

Harrimari officiating. Burial will

be in the White Church cemetery.

Mrs. Spore is at the Wright &

Kendall funeral home where

friends may call after 7 p. m.
