Mrs. Sarah Johnson, age 72, died at 3:45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at her home, 908 south Gibson street, following an illness of several months.

Surviving are the husband, William L.; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Wade, this city, and Mrs. L. C. Herider of Indianapolis; four sons, Elmer, Roger and Roy Johnson, all of this city, and Ellis Johnson of Patoka; a brother, George Norman of Elliott, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ritchie of Sullivan; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Colvin & Son chapel with Dr. L. C. Jeffrey, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 21, 1865 in Gibson county and had lived here all her life.

She was a member of the First Methodist church and of the Ladies Bible class. The body is at the Colvin & Son Funeral home where friends may call.
