Jacobus Taken By Death-Services Will be Held at Decker Church
MRS ELIZABETH JACOBUS, 69, died Thursday afternoon at her home south of
Hazleton on US highway 41, following an illness of five weeks.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed, but services will be held at the
Decker church, with burial in the Warth Cemetery.
Surviving are two brothers, Ed and John Pickel, both
of Knox County; six daughters, Mrs Myrtle Wiseman,
Knox County; Mrs Mae Lashbrook,
East Mt Carmel; Mrs Ruth Morton, Evansville; Mrs Blanche Reneer, Akron, OH;
Marie Jacobus, Evansville and Mrs Dorothy Sherman at
home; two sons, Robert, Monticello, IL, and Herschel of Hazleton; 15 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
The husband, Robert Jacobus was killed Sept. 3, 1928 when struck by a car when
he crossed the highway in front of his home.
The remains were removed to the home, south of Hazleton, Friday afternoon from
the Colvin and Son funeral home, where friends may call.
