Mrs. Cora Armstrong

Mrs. Cora Armstrong, 63; wife of W. Royal Armstrong, died at her home in Hazleton at 1:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon, July 16, 1941, following several months illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Pentecostal church, in Hazleton. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Nolton Davis, of Mt. Vernon, Ill. Burial will be in the Hazleton I.O.O.F. cemetery. The remains are at the home until the funeral hour, where friends may call.

Besides the husband, Mrs. Armstrong is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Carter and Mrs. Genevieve Carter, both of Snohomish, Wash,; Mrs. Mildred Tucker and Mrs. Adrian Chamberlain, both of Petersburg; a son Thomas Armstrong, of Patoka; three brothers, Charles Hill, Memphis, Tenn., George Hill, Terre Haute and Adrian Hill, Everett, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Edith Brown, Terre Haute; 14 grandchildren.

Mrs. Armstrong was born near Washington, Ind., on November 13, 1877. She had resided in Hazleton since 1926, having moved there from Mt. Olympus. She was a member of the Methodist church in Union.
