Charles A. Steele’s Brother, Formerly of This city Is Dead

G. A(ugustus) Steele, brother of Charles A. Steele, of this city, a former Princeton resident, died at Omaha, Neb., Sunday (June 18, 1933) following a heart attack.  Charles A. Steele left today for Omaha to attend his brother’s funeral, which will be held tomorrow afternoon.

          Mr. Steele was born February 2, 1870 in the Providence church neighborhood, this county, the son of the late W(illiam) R. and Margaret Steele.  W. R. Steele was at one time Gibson county recorder.

          He was president of the Atlantic Pacific and Gulf Oil company of Council Bluffs, Ia.

          His wife, Mrs. Gertrude Steele, died three years ago and a brother, Walter Steele, preceded him in death a year ago last October.

          Besides Charles A. Steele, of Princeton, another brother, Roy Steele, of Pine bluff, Ark., and two sisters, Mrs. Sam Songer and Mrs. Myrtle Brown, of Pine Bluff, Ark., also survive.

          Mr. Steele was a member of Co. K., serving in the Spanish-American war.

          He left Princeton 25 years ago.
