Mrs. Elizabeth Acoff, 42, colored, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Abner Noe, of this city, former Princeton resident, died at 9 o’clock Sunday morning (28 Feb 1932) at Decatur, Ill., after being ill a year.

 

The funeral services will probably be held Wednesday afternoon.  The full arrangements will be announced later.  The body is to arrive here Tuesday evening and will be taken to the parent’s home in north Second Street.

 

Surviving are:  the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abner Noe; the husband Frank Acoff; two brothers, Carl Noe, of Princeton, and Roy Noe, of Bloomington; a sister, Mrs Nellie Frisch, of Ohio; other relatives and friends.

 

She was born in Princeton April 5, 1890, and lived here until twelve years ago when she went to Decatur.  She attended the Princeton school.

 

She was a member of the Decatur A. M. E. church.

 

 

Funeral of Mrs. Acoff

 

The funeral of Mrs Elizabeth Acoff, 42, colored, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Noe, Will be held at 10 o’clock Thursday morning at the Olive Branch Baptist church.  In charge of the Rev. John Dallam.  Burial will be in Union cemetery.  The body will arrive at 7 o’clock this evening from Decatur, Ill.
