The death of Mrs. Malissa H. Duke, age 63, wife of Seigel Duke, occurred Sunday morning (14 Jul 1929) at 3:10 o'clock at their home one and one-half miles north of Patoka on Highway 41. 

Mrs Duke had been in failing health for about three years

Funeral services will be held at the Patoka Methodist church at 10:30 O'clock Tuesday morning. In charge of Rev. Horace Spragne of the Oakland City M E church. 

Internment in the Patoka cemetery.

Mrs. Duke was born on Dec 23, 1865, on the farm where her death occurred. She was a member of the Patoka M. E. church.

Surviving to mourn the death of Mrs. Duke, together with the husband is a son, Samuel, at home: a half-brother, Dan Humphreys, of Hazleton: and a half-sister, Mrs. Margaret Duley of Mt Carmel. 

A son died several years ago.
