Mrs. Susan Head, widow of Robert Head, and one of this city’s aged and respected colored women, died suddenly Thursday night at 7 o’clock at the home of her son, Abe Head, 213 east Chestnut street. One other child survives, Mrs. Celia Hatchet, of Henderson, Ky. Mrs. Head was 87 years old.

The funeral will be held at the Olive Branch Baptist church in east Broadway, conducted by Rev. Clark, Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Interment will be in Union cemetery.
