BEN MASSEY DEAD

Veteran of Civil War Joins Ranks of Departed Comrades

Ben Massey, aged 70, a veteran of the Civil War, Co. H, 17th Indiana, died of Brights disease, Thursday night at his home in Owensville. The funeral will be from the house at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning. A wife and two sons survive, Abe and Willard Massey of Owensville. Three children are dead. Mr. Massey was a brother of the late John B. Massey of this city.

Mr. Massey had been ill sometime and had been gradually sinking. He was well-known in the vicinity of Owensville, and in the county generally.
