OBITUARY (from Owensville paper, died 2/13/1890--

Mr. Lewis W. Short, father of our townsman J. L. Short, died at his residence at Ayreshire, on the Air Line railroad on Sunday morning last. The remains were brought here and arrived Monday night. The funeral took place Tuesday morning from the M. E. church at 10 oclock, conducted by Revs. Ried and Murray, and the remains were interred in the Odd Fellows' cemetery at this place. The deceased was well and favorably known here, and a host of friends extend their sympathies to the bereaved family in this trying hour.
