Lois Jean (Keith) Perkins, 75, formerly Of Aryshire, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010.

Born Nov. 2, 1935 in Aryshire, she was the daughter of Delbert and Amanda (Young) Keith.

After graduating from Oakland City College, she moved to Elgin. She married Eddie Perkins on March 8, 1968. She taught third and fourth grade for more than 30 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth (Perkins) Schlacks of Crystal Lake, Ill.; two sons, Keith Eric Perkins of Winslow, Keith Edward Perkins of Oakland City; nine grandchildren; and two great-  grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie Perkins; and two brothers, Jerry “Coffee” Keith and Richard “Dick” Keith.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City with the Rev. Alec Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
