Linus P Anslinger, 91, of Fort Branch, passed away Monday, Dec.
27, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
Born Nov. 21, 1919 in McHenry, N.D. he was the son of Frank and Grace (Eble) Anslinger.
Linus is a retired farmer and worked for the Gibson County
Highway Dept. and Harry Martin Oil. He was a member of St Bernard Church, a WWII veteran and a member of VFW Post 2714 in Fort
Branch.
Survivors include a brother, Vince Anslinger of Bakersfield Calif.; two sisters, Irma Uebelhoer
of St Petersburg
Beach Fla., Iris Torris of Louisville Ky.; and many loving
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at St. Bernard Church in Snake Run with Father Tony
Ernst officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Military rites
will be conducted at the graveside by the VFW Post 2714.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Stodghill Funeral Home
on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. conducted by the church parish.
