Charles L. Watkins, 88, of Princeton passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
He was born Oct. 7, 1922 in Princeton to Brian and Edith Watkins.
He came back to Princeton in 1989, after having lived in Albany, N.Y.. He was a retired truck driver for Montgomery
Ward. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WW II
and was a member of V.F.W. Post 1147 and American Legion Post 25 both in Princeton.
Charles is survived by a niece, Becky
(Paul) McDaniel of Princeton; and six great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Mary Watkins in 1989; and a sister, Betty Jean Davidson on Sept. 29, 2010.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton, with the Rev. Brian Cook officiating. Burial
will follow.
There will be no visitation. Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton is handling arrangements. Family and friends will
meet at the cemetery for the services.
