Herbert “Dot” Simpson, 78, of Haubstadt, passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at home.

Born  April 16, 1932 in Pugh Flats, Ky., he was the son of Herbert and Thodssia (Hutchinson) Simpson.

Dot was a retired electrician with Whirlpool Corp. after 16 years of service. He was a member of the Dayspring Assembly of God. He loved hunting and camping.

Dot is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pam (Besing) Simpson of Haubstadt; four children, Randy Simpson, Rhonda (Larry) Cornett, Rodney Simpson, all of Evansville, Stacy ((Dale) Scherzer of Haubstadt; two brothers, J.W. Simpson of Louisville, Ky., Dillard Simpson of Evansville; seven grandchildren, Nicole and Bobby Cornett, Kyle, Cody, Clay and Kenzy Scherzer, Joshua Simpson; and one great-grandchild, Landon Schindler.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Stodghill Funeral Home, Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch with Pastor Scott Burr officiating. 

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at the funeral home.
