Paula Simon, 64, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010.

She was born Nov. 12, 1945, in Texas.

She worked for the office of Social Security for more than 30 years.  She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Catholic Church for 36 years.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, James J. Simon of Evansville; twin sister, Pamela Folz of Evansville; brother, James Anthony Schmitt of Chesterton; sister, Mary Lashbrook of Fort Branch; sons, Brian Simon (Kimberly) of Evansville, Kevin Simon (Maureen) of Chillicothe, Ohio; daughter, Lori Kixmiller (Jared) of Fishers; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Edith Schmitt.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 North Stockwell Road, Evansville, with Father Zach Etienne officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park. 

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave. in Evansville, and 9 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the church.
