Juanita M. Rose, 93, formerly of Vincennes and Oakland City,
passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at Sellersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Sellersburg
Born Sept. 28, 1917 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Charles and Effie (Berry) Miller.
She married Warren Glenn Rose Jr. on May 23, 1936. She graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School and was a bookkeeper for Wilder & Son’s Oil Co.
in Oakland City.
She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star where she had
been the past Worthy Matron and was also past guardian of Bethel 10 Job’s
Daughter in Vincennes.
Survivors include daughter, Karen Rose
Schalburg and her husband Bart of Greenwood; sons, Gerald Rose and his wife,
Sue of Pekin, Frederick Rose and his wife Lynda of Mishawaka; grandchildren,
Greg Isbell, Patrick Rose, Amanda Reynolds, Warren Rose, David Glenn Rose,
Jonathan Rose; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Warren Glenn Rose Jr. on Jan. 8, 2004. a son, Carl Glenn Rose;
and a brother, Gerald Miller.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., Vincennes, with the Rev. John DeSanto
officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
