Elizabeth (Nelson) Gordon, 68, of Vincennes, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.  

Born Oct. 15, 1941 in LaVergne Tenn., she was the daughter of Buford and Addie Kate (Beach) Nelson

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. She worked as an Avon representative and at the Elks Country Club as a cook.  

Survivors include a son, William Gordon of Lyles Station; two brothers, Johnnie B. and George E. Nelson of Nashville, Tenn.; and three sisters, Mary E. Maney of Nashville, Tenn. and Juanita and Daralene Nelson both of Lawrenceville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon in 1993; son, Michael Gordon in 1987; brother, Robert L. Nelson; and three sisters, Mildred Sims, Josephine Nelson and Cora Nelson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. (eastern) Saturday at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St., Vincennes.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Visitation will be noon until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
