Virginia “Ginny” Carpenter, 84, a lifelong resident of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
She was born March 11, 1926 in Princeton to Carmel David and Emma Jean (Wright)
Luttrell.
She retired from Gibson General Hospital as a registered nurse. She formerly attended
the First Baptist Church in Princeton. She loved her animals, especially her dogs,
Mitzi and Sonny.
Ginny is survived by her sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Sarita and Joe Kinsall
of Princeton; foster daughter, Pam Caddell
of Evansville; sister, Kathleen Larkins
of Huntsville, Ala.; nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Marla Speed,
Mindy Mull and Bobbie Butler.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband of 60 years, Billy W. Carpenter on May 24, 2010; and her sister, Elsie Maxine Alvis.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton with burial to follow.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
